The College of Technology has a reputation for its strength in instruction and applied research — applying technology to real-world needs. Making things better and solving grand challenges is the driving force behind our research efforts. As we promote this concept of “discovery with delivery” we are creating a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among our students and faculty and seeking out new ways to market their ideas, discoveries and research into products and businesses. This blog will share the experiences within our college while offering insight and analysis of industry issues, challenges and opportunities related to technology transfer, commercialization and entrepreneurship. Matt McKillip, director of research relations, is providing day-to-day oversight of the blog.
