Schaffer to lead Statewide Technology

Associate Dean Schaffer

Andy Schaffer has been appointed associate dean for Statewide Technology at Purdue University. In addition to his responsibilities for the administration of Statewide Technology, Schaffer will lead the reengineering initiative for the nine College of Technology locations across Indiana. Schaffer replaces Duane Dunlap, who has been appointed associate dean for engagement for the college.

Schaffer was previously the director of the College of Technology locations at New Albany, Greensburg, Columbus, and Vincennes.

An associate professor of industrial technology, he earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and supervision with highest distinction from Purdue. He completed his Master of Business Administration degree with distinction at the University of Louisville and earned his Ph.D. in business administration at The Ohio State University. His doctoral program emphases were in organization theory and international business.

Before joining Purdue, Schaffer was associate professor of management and assistant department head at the School of Business at North Georgia State University. He also served as an assistant professor of organizational leadership and supervision at IUPUI in Indianapolis.
