Purdue University Statewide – Anderson in conjunction with Ricker Oil Company is proud to host the third annual Academic Brain Bowl at the Flagship location.
Anderson, IN, April 14, 2012: Purdue University Anderson Statewide location in conjunction with Ricker Oil Company will host the third annual Academic Brain Bowl this Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Flagship location – beginning at 8:30 a.m. Local high school teams compete in an academic competition in order to win some great prizes and experience a day inside a college-campus atmosphere. This year’s teams include Frankton High School; Madison Grant High School; Pendleton Heights High School; Noblesville High School; and Anderson Preparatory Academy. This year, some 40 participants will compete for the top award – a traveling trophy and includes a chance for one lucky student to win a Kindle.
This event is managed and orchestrated by an Organizational Leadership class. This year’s event is hosted by OLS 477, and the purpose is to bring awareness to the local Purdue campus and to inform upcoming students about the various degree programs offered in Anderson. The event also allows local students to network with other area schools as well as provides an academic forum for challenging questions which cover a spectrum of subjects. The event runs from 8:30 – 1:00 and includes breakfast; lunch (provided by Ricker’s); and various drinks and snacks throughout the day.
