Three receive Good to Great Awards

Good to Great Award recipients

Three College of Technology faculty and staff were recognized by Dean Gary Bertoline Oct. 7 as the most recent recipients of the Good to Great award.

Recipients were:

  • Alka Harriger, professor of computer and information technology, for her work on the SPIRIT grant from the National Science Foundation, which is garnering national recognition for its outcomes, and the newly formed diversity committee within the college.
  • Steven Lincoln, senior writer/editor, for his work covering the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2011.
  • Vanessa Buntin, manager of special events and alumni relations, for her work planning recent events and re-energizing the Technology Alumni Association.

Recipients of the Good to Great Award are involved with endeavors that improve the college’s public image, show a commitment to excellence and demonstrate impact.

    Kudos to Steven Lincoln for his reporting on the Solar Decathlon and the award winners. Keep up the Great Work. We can make the USA a better place for all.
